Some things.
Oh my god, this is awesome. Nicole showed it to me and i... i..

The silliness, folks! the delightful silliness! I guess there's a whole movie worth of these, but this was the one nicole started with so it's the first one i watched:

I saw the midnight showing of Hellboy II last thursday. i haven't written up my two-cents yet because i actually liked it and i'm figuring out how to word my argument in it's defense.

In other news, my apartment flooded! a pipe in the parking garage below us kerploded and water came sneaking into our appartment from under our downstairs toilet (not nearly as disgusting as it sounds, but the water was warm and smelled like a lake). Half of our livingroom was soaked and there was about 1/5 of an inch of standing water in our kitchen before the leak actually stopped.
All in all no harm done, and there are wet-vac dudes in our place right now making all our problems go away :)

ALSO i finally figured out how to move my blog from my yahoo account to gmail so i can finally stop this elaborate dance of logging in and out all the damn time. This is an exciting time for me. I really delight in consolidation!

Ack. Sorry to hear about the flooding, and I don't think you need to properly word a defense of your liking of Hellboy II most reviews I've seen have been positive. the only negative ones I've caught a glimpse of are people who don't like the whole Liz/Hellboy thing. Which you'd only have an issue with if you were some diehard fan of the comics and ONLY wanted the comic content on screen.

I thought it was solid. Lots of fun, silly in all the right places and I left the theater pleased.

I can't even tell you how much I want to watch that Youtube.

Floods are the worst. I had one last year or so, where the entire contents of SOMEONE ELSE'S garbage disposal somehow exploded into my kitchen. Orange, meaty food good that wasn't mine.

SO digusting.

Worse, it literally was like a wave. Sebastian was by the kitchen, I saw him arch his back and: POWSCHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

Flooding sucks! You haven't got the kitties living with you anymore, right? I can only imagine their horror...

I want to see a properly worded defense of the movie! I need hope. Right now I am lamenting The Hobbit.

It was fun, and I enjoyed parts of it... but it could have been SO much better with a solid story.

Fluff action movies don't have to have bulletproof stories, of course, but the ones that hit really big are the ones that are, at heart, about something. Like Matrix vs. Matrix 2 & 3. The second two had way awesomer stuff in them, but #1 is the one you'd ever want to watch again...
